Metal Fabricators

We are looking for accomplished Fabricators—with a minimum of 3 years experience specialising in metal—to join our team on a fixed term basis.  Fabricators will work with initiative as part of a team to deliver a wide range of bespoke projects, with a focus on studio-based metal fabrication and on-site installation works. 

Fabricators will assimilate their knowledge of design and making in order to develop effective fabrication methodologies and realise high-quality works appropriate to client briefs.  In all aspects of the role, Fabricators will uphold the excellent standard of service that our clients and collaborators expect from Weber Industries. 


 Key tasks 

  • Undertake fabrication works in collaboration with our team in the studio and on site, bringing specialist knowledge of materials and processes—including structural fabrication and coded welding.
  • Work confidently and competently with fixed machinery, portable equipment and tools (with a focus on metalworking, but also including woodworking, CNC-machining, mould-making and casting).
  • Work confidently and competently with fabrication drawings, including using Rhino to view/print drawings, navigate models, and take dimensions as required.
  • Deliver projects appropriate to client brief, upholding high standards of craft and presentation in client communications and the delivery of works.
  • Undertake all works in adherence to company policy and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Foster good working relationships within the team, engendering a collaborative and supportive working environment.


 Key requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years professional experience
  • Degree level qualification in a relevant subject or vocational equivalent
  • Specialist knowledge and expertise of fabrication methods, processes and materials.
  • Experience of on-site working and proof of appropriate training (i.e. CSCS card or equivalent accreditation).
  • Experience working with a range of software and packages such as Microsoft, Adobe, AutoCAD etc.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of tool and machinery maintenance.
  • Awareness of health and safety regulations and best practice for compliance.
