We are looking for an experienced Wood Fabricator to join our team on a freelance basis.
As a Wood Fabricator, you will work as part of our team in the studio and on site in London. You will bring experience of fabrication and installation; with specialist skills from general building to site carpentry and fine cabinetmaking.
Rates of pay are competitive, dependent on experience.
Key tasks
- Work as part our team in the studio to fabricate projects including structural staircases and bespoke furniture
- Work as part of our team to install projects on site in London
- Bring knowledge of materials and processes relevant to site carpentry, general building, and fine cabinetmaking
- Work confidently and competently with portable equipment, tools and materials
- Work confidently and competently from fabrication drawings
- Ensure your works are undertaken in accordance with the company’s health and safety policy and relevant RAMS
- Maintain a clean and safe working area, with responsibility for ensuring your works are undertaken with care and consideration
- Manage your time effectively to ensure the team works together to meet the project deadline
- Foster good working relationships within the team, engendering a collaborative and supportive working environment
- Represent the company in a positive and professional manner at all times
Key requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience, including on site in a construction environment (essential)
- Experience with cabinetmaking and fine finishing (essential)
- Experience with site carpentry and general building (essential)
- Experience with portable equipment and tools (essential)
- Awareness of health and safety regulations and best practice for compliance (essential)
- Strong verbal, interpersonal and comprehensive skills (essential)
- Right to work in the UK without restrictions (essential)
- Current CSCS card, or equivalent qualification (desirable)
