'999 years, 13sqm (the future belongs to ghosts)' was created in dialogue between Evans and architect Rachel Armstrong. It was presented as part of Is This Tomorrow? at Whitechapel Gallery—an exhibition of experimental propositions inspired by the iconic group show This is Tomorrow that was held at the same venue in 1956.
