Working with artist Simon Faithfull we managed the fabrication of this bespoke globe. The design was developed in 3D CAD and prepared for laser cutting, before being assembled and finished in-house.
The stainless steel stand was laser etched by our partners at Sign Industries, while drawings by the artist were mounted onto the globe surface by specialist makers Lander & May. The resulting object is internally lit, with cabling and dimming controls contained within the frame and base of the globe. ‘Meridian Globe’ was exhibited in Simon’s solo exhibition ‘0°00 Navigation’ at ICIA, Bath.
