Textile designer Hannah Sabapathy asked us to facilitate the fabrication of a series of prototype furniture pieces. Each panel is designed and custom made by the artist using a range of materials and processes, including hand painted and laser etched leather and aluminium. Starting with scaled cardboard models we measured and scaled each piece in 3D CAD to produce fabrication renders, from which the prototype could then be constructed. This process enabled the panels to be cut and assembled with precision.
