Making It Home As We Go Along - The Puzzles

These playful interactive works were fabricated for artist Julia Vogl. Working from the starting point of a scaled-up sliding puzzle game, our team developed a functional and economic fabrication design using CNC-machined plywood tiles. The blank pieces were cut and finished in our studio ready for Julia to apply the pattern and text before framing.

The Puzzles form part of a series of permanent artworks commissioned by Artlink Hull for Riverside Independent Living Homes, which were developed by Julia alongside a series of workshops with Riverside residents.  The four finished works are installed in a communal space at Redwood Glades in Hull.
